As a senior consultant of a dutch ICT company I have been assigned to many Data Migration and Data Quality projects in order to help our customers get and stay in control of their most precious assets, called Data. I consider data as the DNA, the primary building blocks of our Information Systems. It makes sense that we must take various measures to assure that our data is and stays correct. Fortunately modern DBMS’es help us in defining and securing our data. I have been working as a Data Quality analyst for a Dutch Insurance Company and helped them in the process of getting Solvency II compliant. It was my job to make a Data Quality Profile of all data sources that were used to feed the risk engines. The tool I used was a proprietary tool.
